The Super Dramatic Life of a Grade Twelver

Sunday, February 11, 2007

Well, this week hasn't been too busy, but we have had a few grad activities. We had a bingo on Wednesday, and we had a Valentine's Day dance on Saturday. We had to set up for the dance, which wasn't too bad. Decorations are fun, it's just the cleaning up that's the boring part. We have to clean up pretty soon today. I'm expecting lots of balloon pieces to be on the floor because we had prize tickets hidden in balloons and people had to pop the balloons to see if they won. The dance was alright; it seemed like people were having a good time. Some people danced, but most people stood around chatting and had a few drinks. There was also a silent auction at the dance, and one of the auction items was a certificate for four hours of work from the grads. The last time I checked, the highest bid was $50.00, so, hopefully, someone bid higher than that. We should have set a starting bid for that. So, besides clean up today, I don't think there are many grad activities for a while. After school next week, though, I get to help do inventory of the shop supplies at work. I've never done that before, so it should be interesting. One of the mechanics is back from school too; he passed his first year apprentice, so that's good. And, last but not least, one of my bestest friend's birthdays is tomorrow, so, happy b-day Sambo!
