So its official......black and white is here to stay!! (With big city Paris of course!) For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, I am referring to the theme our grad decorations will follow. We decided on it one day at one of our super awesome grad meetings......and mostly everyone seemed okay with it, so black and white Paris it is! It should be cool, and there will be lots of tiny white Christmasy lights everywhere, so that will be pretty. So anyways, we had another grad meeting today, and it was pretty uneventful, with us mostly talking about fundraisers and stuff like that. What I would like to talk about now is a certain mechanic who used to work where I work, and was supposed to come and help out at the shop for a few days. Well, he didn't show up. He was supposed to come Monday, and its Wednesday. So, Mr. Jones, you better have a good reason for not coming! When people don't do what they say they're going to do, it kind of sucks. It's understandable if something important comes up, and you have no choice but to cancel something, but if you just don't do it, it's pretty harsh. My boss was expecting to have some help, and for those few days to be a lot less stressful, but now that's all a distant dream. Well, what can you do. I guess all you can do is try not be the person who lets people down, and you'll do fine. Bye for now!

I tell you, this week has gone by so slow. I think it went by slower than the month of December. It's probably because I had to do a whole lot of presentation type stuff this week. On Thursday, I had to give a chemistry presentation on ionization energy, which wasn't too big of a deal; it was only five minutes. I was really nervous, though! You should have seen my hands shaking (which kind of sucked because I was trying to hold on to the paper I was reading from) ! On Thursday afternoon, our drama class had to put on a play, called Selma Goes Psychic, about a girl who decides to become a fortune teller instead of doing her schoolwork, and how her brother gets her to stop the phony fortune telling. I was really scared because I didn't know my lines very well, but it all turned out okay. We had a prompter shout out our lines to us if we forgot them :) And, Greg and Wayne, you guys were awesome! So once all that was over, I felt pretty good. Today was a good day, but still slow. I had to work after school, and that was okay cause I got to see one of the mechanics who had been at school for a while. I got a nasty papercut under my thumbnail from one of the sugar containers, though. It hurts like a you know what! Next week should be interesting.......one of the mechanics who used to work at the shop is supposedly coming back for a while to help out. I haven't seen him for a long time! Truth be told, I'm not sure I want to see him that much......but what can you do...... Well, I guess that's about it for now. See-ya!

Well, in our journalism 12 class, one of our monthly projects is to compose a school newsletter. Each student has to write an article or make a calendar, or something to that effect. There are many different articles that a student can choose to write about, but I usually like to choose current events. One problem that I have with the newsletter is that we have to edit it before it goes out to the school. I used to like when the newsletter came out because everything was a surprise and it was cool to read all the articles that the students themselves had written, but now it's like, 'Oh. I read this already.' So that's my problem with the newsletter. Other than that it's great, because it gives the students a chance to express themselves through writing. It's very stressful sometimes to get a newsletter out on time. The layout is the hardest because you are faced with the impossible task of making about 18 articles fit into like 6 pages. I can't even imagine what a daily newspaper goes through. The editor probably tears out parts of his hair on a daily basis. Anyways, that's it for now. See-ya!

One day in Journalism class, we had to free write about travel or journeys. So I thought I'd talk about that here too, and write about where I'd like to go when I get older and have money to do so! I have been doing a Geography 12 course by correspondence (at least, I am trying to!) , and I had to read about the rainforest for one of my section assignments. I would love to go to the rainforest! It sounds so cool! The text says that, in some rainforests, you can only see 2 metres ahead of you! Also, can you imagine seeing a panther just strolling along, or a dinner-plate sized spider trying to creep around? Another

Does anyone out there watch tennis? Well, I do, and I love it! It isn't exactly the best season for tennis in Canada and parts of the US, but there are still tournaments in Europe and Asia. Anyways, I didn't use to like tennis, but my mom would always watch it. I hated it, and I would always complain for her to change the channel, but, one day, I happened to notice that there was a game on, and I started watching because the guy playing wasn't too bad looking ( yeah, Andy Roddick!) and it actually wasn't too bad! So then I happened to come across another game a while later, and somebody else was playing. It was Roger Federer, and he was soooo good. He made the hardest

Well, it looks as if the new year is upon us, actually, it has been for 4 days now. Christmas holidays always go by too fast, and then the rest of January goes by really slowly. Christmas was fun, and I ate waaay too much, but I definitely had fun doing it. I got a camera for Christmas, and I took a lot of pictures at first, but then my family told me to cut it out, that they weren't that interesting. So now my camera is sitting on my floor with the rest of the stuff in my room. New Years was good, and I got to hang out with lots of cool people. It was definitely one of my more interesting new years......and yeah, you'll probably see pics on Chrissy's blog. So I was doing a lot of my chemistry homework over the holidays, which kind of sucked, but was kind of necessary.......and you can definitely ask me anything about the periodic table and I will definitely give you an answer about it. Now, the answer could be right or wrong, but you will get an answer. I also went to work a few times over the holidays. I usually clean, but I got to file some folders one day, which was a change. One of the mechanics is off to school, and it's definitely different with him gone. For one, there is a drastic drop in the amount of sarcastic comments at work haha. Anyways, I guess its back to school pretty soon, and I'm not too sad.....I'm just gonna miss sleeping in until 11:00 am ! See-ya!
